What Should I Study?

Have you ever asked, "What should I study in the bible?"

Getting started is generally our biggest challenge. It doesn't take too long to discover that there is a vast landscape of topics to dig into. In fact, the more you learn, the more you will realize how much you don't know. So where to begin?

Solution

What is interesting about God and His Word to you? That's what you study!

Is it faith? Is it prayer? Is it God's plan? Maybe it's creation or prophecy in the scriptures.

The best place to start is the very thing that is on your mind. Revive your curiosity about the Lord and run with it.

Cry out for insight and ask for understanding.

Regardless of the topic you start with, your studies will lead you everywhere the Lord wants to take you. The scriptures are an integrated communication system and it's all connected. It's much like building a puzzle. Eventually, you will link to every other piece. Now imagine a 3D puzzle! It's a bit more complex but the same idea is true. It's all linked together. So are the scriptures.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
- 1 John 2:27 NKJV
