Required: Daily Prayer List

Do you have a prayer list? Are you hitting it every single day?

We have to. There is no way around it. If we feel like we are under duress we are moved to pray. When a great need arises, it's relatively easy to stop what we are doing and cry out to the Lord.

When they call on Me, I will answer.

Unfortunately, we do not carry with us a moment by moment realization that we are always susceptible to the enemy without a close connection to the Lord. When things are going well we lose our edge and we can't let this happen.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. - 1 Peter 5:8 NLT


Motivation For Daily Prayer

God wants to walk with us. Switch it around and it's still true... He wants us, to walk with Him. There are good reasons for this. The first is His love for us. Secondly, He knows that when we are not keeping Him at the forefront of our minds we forget about Him. We forget who we are in Christ. We forget about our enemy.

Knowing God

  • The Lord desires a close and personal relationship.
  • Communication is vital.
  • We have open access to the throne room of heaven.

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. ... When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. - John 15:5, 8 NLT

It's A Real War

  • We are at war.
  • The war is in the unseen world.
  • It is focused on our mind. 

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12 NLT

Overcome Indifference

  • Ignoring the war does not stop the effects of the war.
  • Prayer time is forged through love and sacrifice.
  • The enemy makes slaves of the passive mind.

Don't you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. - Romans 6:16 NLT

So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. - James 2:17 NLT

Engaging In Prayer

  • Brings unstoppable force to bear on your behalf and others.
  • Prayer is a progression of faith.
  • The just shall live by faith.
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. - James 5:16 NLT

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

Make Your List

Please, start your prayer list right now. We need you in the battle.

Start with a short list. Make it something you can do everyday. It doesn't have to be a specific time, but it can be. The key is every single day.

A short list is a great place to start. Get one scripture for one purpose down in a notebook, OneNote, Evernote etc. and hit it everyday.

Prayer is the catalyst for walking in the Spirit.
Consistency is our catalyst for growth in the Lord.
"Pray always."
"Pray without ceasing."
"Cast all your cares on Me."

The Lord has said to us in many various and creative ways that our communication with Him is always on. He wants us to be aware of Him and engaging Him constantly.

Consistency is key. Long prayer lists take time so start small and work your way up to the big stuff. There is an expertise to prayer that does not come in one sitting. It takes time to develop a relationship so get started right now. Add your own words, requests and scriptures as you go. Soon you will not be able to live without it.

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. What and how you think about life is extremely important. There is also another aspect of thinking that needs to be considered as well. That would be the priority of thinking. The scripture in Romans 12:2 NLT  does not ask us to change the way we feel. We need to change the way we think. Thinking is the part of your heart that the Lord is working on. So let's put a high priority on how we think. Pray. Think first. The emotions support and reinforce our resolve. The body gets us there and does the physical work. God is glorified. Think Like Jesus Thinks So what and how do we think?
